I witness profound connection to the more-than-human-world through working with a garden on a trolley in a non acute, mental health hospital.

A plant’s smell can trigger a memory recalled from a lifetime ago; a stick mark’s the changes of the wind on its growth or holds the memory of a time and place that we hold dear, for instance of the last moments an internally renowned ice skater was able to use her legs.

Small yet profound moments of connection and beauty shape our lives and propel us forward.

These objects are designed to hold these momento’s, talismans or objects from a loved one. They record lines and mark making inspired by textures and surfaces from places I have been moved by.
